Vehicles That Work on the Pension Road

Groups leaving Olympos range from two people with rucksacks to eight with hard cases, and the vehicle is chosen for both the load and the road. Everything is quoted per vehicle rather than per head, so splitting a minibus across a group of friends is straightforward. Tell us the passenger count and roughly what you are carrying when you book; if anyone needs a child seat, ask for it at the same time and the driver brings it with him.

What a Booked Olympos Departure Gives You

A rate that ignores the terrain

The distance and the winding access road are already in the figure you agree at booking. It does not rise because the vehicle spent ten minutes behind a delivery truck on the way up, and there is no meter ticking through the bends. What was quoted is what the driver takes at the end.

Named pension, correct fork

Two valleys sit side by side here and the turnings are easy to confuse in the dark. Give us your pension name as it is written and we know which fork to take and where on the road you are, so the vehicle arrives at your gate rather than at the ruins entrance.

The collection is set against your flight

We take the departure time from your ticket and work back from it, treating the climb out of the valley as its own stage. If your flight moves, send a message and the pickup is rescheduled without a charge for the change.

Any hour, including the unlit ones

The access road has no lighting and the pensions lock their gates overnight, which is why a night departure needs arranging rather than improvising. We drive these hours all year, and the driver contacts you on arrival instead of waking a dormitory with a horn.

Book now, pay at the end

No deposit is taken and no card is stored — you hand the fare to the driver in cash once the trip is finished. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before your collection time if the plan changes.

Out of the Valley and North to Antalya Airport

Every Olympos departure begins on the same single road. It runs from near the ruins gate up past the pensions and out of the valley in a series of tight bends, and there is no second way out. Loaded and climbing, a minibus takes it slowly; add a delivery lorry coming down at a point where neither vehicle can pass and you have the one stage of the trip that cannot be timed to the minute. That is why the driver comes down early and waits rather than arriving at your gate at the last possible moment.

At the top the road meets the coast highway and the drive changes entirely: an even, open run north past the Cirali turning, then Tekirova, then Kemer, with the Bey mountains inland and the sea below. This is the long, quiet middle of the journey and the part that behaves predictably in almost any season.

Then comes Antalya. The tunnels north of Beldibi bring you out at Konyaalti on the western side of the city, and because the airport is out on the eastern side, the final section is a crossing of town rather than more coast. The full distance is about 99 km and we plan the journey at 100 to 120 minutes. The upper figure is not padding: it is what the access road and a weekday city crossing genuinely cost.

Night and early morning are the easiest hours to leave. The valley road is empty then, but it is also unlit and shared with the occasional animal, so the climb is driven at a steady pace with headlights doing all the work — no faster than by day, just without anything coming the other way.

Pickup on the Olympos Pension Road

Your driver comes down to the pension itself. The road is narrow, the forecourts are gravel and there are few places to turn, so the vehicle is brought in nose-out where a property has the space, and where it does not, it stops at the nearest widening and the driver walks the last stretch for your bags. Give us the pension name as your booking shows it — everything here is known by name rather than by any number, and on a road where a reversing manoeuvre costs several minutes, arriving at the right gate first time matters.

Most guests travel with soft bags that load in a minute, but a group of six with hard cases changes which vehicle we send, so say what you are carrying. For a pickup before the kitchen opens, arrange it the night before with whoever is on the desk: many pensions close the road gate overnight and somebody has to open it. When the driver pulls in he will message or call you — the buildings sit close together and at four in the morning most of the valley is still asleep.

Why Guests Book Rather Than Look for a Car

There is no rank in the valley. A taxi for an Olympos departure has to be ordered up on the main road and driven down empty, which is why an early request often comes back as a refusal or as a figure quoted on the spot. In high season the local cars are occupied with day traffic to the ruins and the Chimaera; out of season there are very few of them working at all, and none at three in the morning.

A booking turns that into a scheduled job. The vehicle is committed to you, the amount is fixed before the day, and the driver already knows which pension he is coming to and what the access road is like at that hour. Nothing is agreed at the roadside with your rucksacks already loaded.

The comparison is not really about the fare. It is about whether a car is there when your only road out is a climb you cannot rush.

Nearby routes

Olympos sits beside the next valley along, and guests often compare the two before booking: Cirali to Antalya Airport covers the beach side, while Tekirova to Antalya Airport is the first resort area back up the coast toward Kemer. Coming the other way instead? The arrival journey is described on Antalya Airport to Olympos.

Return transfer

A round trip is booked as one job: both directions confirmed together, one fixed price per vehicle each way, and the same pension name used at each end. Plenty of guests do it that way because the valley is awkward to reach without a driver who knows the fork, and the arrival leg is the one where getting it wrong costs the most time. If you only need the outbound run today, the other direction is set out on the Antalya Airport to Olympos transfer page and can be added later.

“We booked a private transfer with MovXtra before arriving in Turkey, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication via both email and WhatsApp was quick, friendly, and professional. We were a group of 14 people, and during our holiday we used their services for several transfers. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable, the driver was friendly and helpful, and every journey went perfectly. 🚐👌 There is honestly nothing we could fault. We will definitely use MovXtra again on our future trips to Antalya. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced private transfer service in Antalya. 🙏🇹🇷”

“I used Movxtra for both my airport transfers in Antalya — from the airport to my hotel and then back to the airport. I was very satisfied with the service from start to finish. The website is very easy to use, with clear and fixed prices, and there is no need to pay in advance. You simply pay the driver after arriving at your destination, which I found very convenient. Their WhatsApp communication is also excellent — they respond extremely quickly. After making the booking, I recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp, as it makes communication even faster and easier. Both drivers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good air conditioning. I would definitely recommend Movxtra, especially if you want a reliable airport transfer without having to pay upfront. The fixed price and payment upon arrival make the whole process simple and stress-free. Very good service and definitely a company I would use again!”

Olympos to Antalya Airport — Guest Questions

Tap a question to view details.

Can the vehicle reach my tree-house pension?

In almost every case, yes — the access road takes vans and minibuses. Where a particular property has a tight turn-off, the driver stops at the nearest widening on the road and walks in for your bags, and he will tell you the plan before the day.

What time will the driver come down?

We set the collection time from the departure time on your ticket, treating the climb out of the valley as a separate stage of the journey. The agreed hour is confirmed to you in advance rather than decided on the morning.

How long does the trip take?

About 99 km in total, planned at 100 to 120 minutes. The access road and the crossing of Antalya on a weekday are what push a journey toward the upper end.

Can you collect before sunrise?

Yes, we work at all hours. Ask your pension the evening before to have the road gate open, and keep your phone on — the driver contacts you when he arrives instead of using the horn.

We are a group of eight with backpacks. Is that one vehicle?

Usually one minibus, and it is priced as one vehicle rather than eight fares. Confirm the exact number of passengers and bags at booking so the right size is allocated.

Is Olympos the same pickup as Cirali?

No. They are neighbouring valleys with separate access roads, and the vehicle takes a different fork for each. Tell us the pension name and we route to the correct side.

Are child seats available?

Yes, on request. Give the child's age when you book so the driver arrives with a suitable seat and can fit it before the bags are loaded.

How do I pay?

In cash to the driver when the trip ends. No card is needed to book and no deposit is taken. The price is fixed at booking, so the figure does not change on the day.

What if we cancel?

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the collection time. Send us a message and we will confirm it; nothing has been charged in advance.
