Why a booked departure works better here

Mavikent and Karaoz are a separate drive

A pickup at the beach settlements starts with a coastal leg that is finished before the highway begins. We count that leg into your pickup time. Guests who book as if Kumluca town and Karaoz were the same starting point are the ones who end up rushing.

The fare is settled before anyone is tired

Your price is agreed at booking and stays there. Nothing is added for the inland turn, for the hour, or for luggage that turned out heavier than expected. There is no meter and no second conversation about money at the terminal.

We drive on the town timetable, not office hours

Kumluca works in the dark: the lorries are on the move long before the shops open, and a good share of the flights out of Antalya leave early enough to match. We take those bookings as readily as midday ones.

The address is confirmed while it can still be checked

Villas on the slopes above town are often on unnamed farm lanes between greenhouse plots, and two or three of them can open off the same bend. Sending the property name with a map pin or the owner phone number turns that into a decided route rather than a guess at a junction.

Cancel free, up to 24 hours ahead

Travel plans in a farming town move with the harvest and with everything else. If yours change, there is no charge to cancel provided we hear from you more than 24 hours ahead, and nothing to reclaim either, because nothing was paid up front.

The road out of Kumluca

Kumluca works before it wakes. Long before the shops open, the produce lorries are already moving out of the greenhouse belt, and the link road that carries them down to the D400 is the one your vehicle uses too. That is not a delay in itself, since the heavy traffic is heading the other way at that hour, but it does mean the first kilometres out of the centre are taken at a lorry pace rather than a car one.

Once on the D400 the drive settles down. The road runs north-east with the Bey Mountains inland and the sea appearing and disappearing on the other side, and the total from a Kumluca doorstep to the terminal is about 111 km. Plan on 100 to 123 minutes. The lower figure is what an early departure really takes; the higher one exists because of what the road does later in the day.

What it does later is concentrated north of the Olympos and Cirali turnings. Through July and August the afternoon brings day-trip traffic back onto the same carriageway, and the run past Kemer is where an airport journey quietly loses its margin. Out of season the road behaves the same at any hour, and the difference between a dawn start and a mid-morning one is small.

If you are staying at Mavikent or Karaoz rather than in the town itself, the journey has a coastal section before it reaches the highway at all. Name the settlement when you book instead of writing Kumluca, because the two are genuinely different drives and the pickup times are not the same.

Collection points around the district

In the town centre the driver comes to the door. Pensions and small hotels here sit on numbered streets with room to pull in, so the vehicle stops on the property side and the bags cross a pavement and nothing more. Higher up, where guests take a villa on the slopes, the last stretch is frequently an unnamed lane between plots, and satellite navigation will put the car near it rather than at it. What settles the approach is the owner phone number, sent to us with the booking.

Pension names repeat in a working town, and the name alone does not always separate two places a few streets apart. Send the name together with a pin and, if your departure falls before the desk is staffed, arrange the gate and settle the bill the previous evening. We message the confirmed pickup time and the driver number ahead of the day, so a locked reception is not the thing standing between you and the vehicle at four in the morning.

Local taxi or booked transfer

Kumluca has taxis and in season you can usually get one. The difficulty is the combination that airport departures keep producing: a long run, an awkward hour and a fare that is settled by conversation rather than by meter. For a job of this length what gets agreed depends on who is free that morning and how early it is, and you find out the answer on the day.

A booking takes the negotiation and the uncertainty out at the same time. The figure is set when you reserve, it covers the vehicle rather than each head, and it does not change afterwards, not on the doorstep and not at the terminal. For a group of five or six that difference is the whole argument.

Then there is the question of who owns the timing. A car ordered informally for the morning arrives when it arrives, and there is nobody to ask at half past four. A booked vehicle has an agreed time, a driver whose number you already have, and a company that knows you are leaving today.

Nearby routes

The inbound page for this route is Antalya Airport to Kumluca. Along the same corridor we also drive Olympos, Cirali and Adrasan to the east of the town, and Finike and Demre to the west.

Return transfer

Coming in the other direction, or arranging a whole stay at once: the arrival leg is described on the Antalya Airport to Kumluca page, and both directions are priced per vehicle on the same basis. Booking the pair together is worth more here than it looks, because the return pickup point is not always the arrival one, and a beach-settlement departure needs to be on the schedule earlier than a town-centre one.

“We booked a private transfer with MovXtra before arriving in Turkey, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication via both email and WhatsApp was quick, friendly, and professional. We were a group of 14 people, and during our holiday we used their services for several transfers. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable, the driver was friendly and helpful, and every journey went perfectly. 🚐👌 There is honestly nothing we could fault. We will definitely use MovXtra again on our future trips to Antalya. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced private transfer service in Antalya. 🙏🇹🇷”

“I used Movxtra for both my airport transfers in Antalya — from the airport to my hotel and then back to the airport. I was very satisfied with the service from start to finish. The website is very easy to use, with clear and fixed prices, and there is no need to pay in advance. You simply pay the driver after arriving at your destination, which I found very convenient. Their WhatsApp communication is also excellent — they respond extremely quickly. After making the booking, I recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp, as it makes communication even faster and easier. Both drivers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good air conditioning. I would definitely recommend Movxtra, especially if you want a reliable airport transfer without having to pay upfront. The fixed price and payment upon arrival make the whole process simple and stress-free. Very good service and definitely a company I would use again!”

Kumluca departures: common questions

Tap a question to view details.

Where does the driver wait?

At the property entrance for town-centre addresses. For a villa on the slopes, at the gate if the lane takes the vehicle, or at the nearest junction we agree with you beforehand if it does not. Either way the point is fixed the day before, not decided on the morning.

I am staying at Mavikent or Karaoz. Is that the same booking?

Yes, and you should say so when you book. The coastal leg out of the beach settlements is real driving time, and we set the pickup earlier to account for it rather than treating it as part of the town.

What time will you pick me up?

Tell us the departure time and we work the pickup back from it, taking your part of the district into account. You get the agreed time in writing before travel day. If the flight time changes, message us and we reset it.

How far and how long is the drive?

About 111 km, and 100 to 123 minutes from your door to the terminal. Early morning sits at the lower end. A summer afternoon, when the traffic from the Olympos and Cirali turnings is heading back, sits at the upper one.

Can you collect in the middle of the night?

Yes. We take bookings at every hour, and a large share of the departures we drive out of Kumluca leave while the town is still dark.

Do you have child seats?

Yes, on request. Give us the ages of the children with the booking and the right seat is fitted before the vehicle sets off for you.

How and when do I pay?

Cash to the driver at the end of the journey. No deposit, no card details at booking, and the amount is the one agreed when you reserved.

What if I need to cancel?

Cancelling costs nothing as long as there are still 24 hours to go. Send a WhatsApp message and we confirm it back to you. Since nothing was paid in advance, there is no refund to wait for.
