“We booked a private transfer with MovXtra before arriving in Turkey, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication via both email and WhatsApp was quick, friendly, and professional. We were a group of 14 people, and during our holiday we used their services for several transfers. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable, the driver was friendly and helpful, and every journey went perfectly. 🚐👌 There is honestly nothing we could fault. We will definitely use MovXtra again on our future trips to Antalya. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced private transfer service in Antalya. 🙏🇹🇷”

What a Kaş Departure Actually Needs
The climb out of town comes first
Nothing about this drive starts on open road. Kaş lies at water level and the D400 runs along the ridge above it, so the first stretch is a steady ascent through tight bends before anything opens out. Loading is done at your door and the driver takes that ascent at a measured pace with cases in the back.
Pickups before sunrise are ordinary work here
With the terminal more than 200 km away, a large share of Kaş departures are booked for the dark hours. We run around the clock, and a 03:30 collection is handled the same way as a midday one: the vehicle is assigned the evening before, with the address and the agreed time already in the driver's hands.
A fixed amount over 200 kilometres
What is agreed when you book is what the driver takes in cash at the end of the drive. No meter runs across the Demre plain, nothing is recalculated because the coast road was slower than usual, and no card is charged before the day.
Çukurbağ, the harbour and the theatre lanes
The peninsula west of the harbour has a single road along it and gateways with very little turning room, while the pensions above the ancient theatre sit on lanes a minibus fits into only one way round. Which of those describes your address is settled at booking, so the vehicle arrives pointing the right way.
Seats, cases and child seats counted in advance
The amount covers the vehicle, not the head count. Say how many are travelling, how much luggage there is and whether a child seat is wanted; a family with a buggy and four large cases should not be asked to make it fit on the morning.
The Road from Kaş to the Terminal
It is about 203 km from Kaş to Antalya Airport and the drive occupies 191 to 230 minutes. It begins with the ascent out of town — the harbour road winds up to the junction on the D400 above Kaş — and from that junction the whole journey runs eastward, first with the sea on your right and later well inland of it.
The opening section carries you above the water toward Kınık before swinging into the Demre plain. That plain is greenhouse country, and at first light it fills with produce lorries heading for the packing sheds; the road is straight there but the pace belongs to whatever is ahead of you. Past Demre the highway climbs a wooded pass and comes down towards Finike through switchbacks that nobody hurries.
Between Finike and Kumluca the ground flattens into orange groves and the driving becomes undemanding. Then the road lifts again into the pine slopes behind Olympos and Tekirova, running high above the water through a run of tunnels before dropping into Kemer. This middle third is the steadiest part of the journey; it changes very little between six in the morning and six in the evening.
The final stretch — Kemer, Beldibi, the Konyaaltı approach and then the airport ring — is the part that varies. During July and August an afternoon departure can sit in resort traffic along that strip, and that is where the upper end of the 191 to 230 minute figure comes from. Leave Kaş before first light and the drive tends to sit near the lower end instead.
Where the Driver Waits in Kaş
Most harbour-front hotels here have no forecourt to pull into. The vehicle stands at the closest point the street allows — usually on the waterfront road, or at the head of the lane your entrance opens onto — and the driver covers the last few metres on foot for the cases. On the Çukurbağ peninsula the approach is straightforward but the turning is not, which is why the standing point is fixed with your address at booking instead of being worked out at dawn.
For a departure in the small hours, mention it at reception the evening before. Pensions and small hotels in Kaş often keep a night porter or a key holder on call rather than a staffed desk, and a gate or a parking barrier may need to be opened. Have the cases at the entrance when the vehicle appears: the lanes of the old quarter are narrow enough that anything standing in one blocks it outright, so loading is kept short.
Booking Ahead Against Finding a Taxi in Kaş
The rank by the harbour serves the town well for short work — a beach, a restaurant, the bus office. Antalya Airport is a different kind of fare. It ties up whoever takes it for most of a day, and the drivers who do run it usually want the job arranged beforehand, which is precisely what a booking is.
Hour and season count for more here than they would in a city. Outside the summer months the rank thins out, and at four in the morning it is not a queue you can join. Standing on the waterfront with the cases already out, agreeing a two-hundred-kilometre price with whoever answered the phone, is a weak place from which to negotiate.
A booked departure closes both questions before the day arrives. A vehicle is held for your pickup, the amount was fixed at booking and does not move afterwards, and the driver is paid in cash when you arrive at the terminal. Nothing is taken beforehand, and a plan that changes more than 24 hours ahead can be cancelled without cost.
Nearby routes
Kaş sits between two other departure routes on the same coast road: Kalkan to Antalya Airport lies further west along the cliff cornice, while vehicles heading for the terminal pass through Demre and Finike on the way. The inbound direction is covered on the Antalya Airport to Kaş transfer page, with Antalya Airport to Kalkan and Antalya Airport to Demre for the neighbouring bays.
Return transfer
If you are reading this before the holiday rather than at the end of it, the leg in the other direction is the Antalya Airport to Kaş transfer, and the two can be held together as a round trip so a single arrangement covers both. Booked as a pair, the departure leg already carries your hotel details; booked on its own later, it simply asks for them again. Either way the amount is per vehicle and settled with the driver on the day.

“I used Movxtra for both my airport transfers in Antalya — from the airport to my hotel and then back to the airport. I was very satisfied with the service from start to finish. The website is very easy to use, with clear and fixed prices, and there is no need to pay in advance. You simply pay the driver after arriving at your destination, which I found very convenient. Their WhatsApp communication is also excellent — they respond extremely quickly. After making the booking, I recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp, as it makes communication even faster and easier. Both drivers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good air conditioning. I would definitely recommend Movxtra, especially if you want a reliable airport transfer without having to pay upfront. The fixed price and payment upon arrival make the whole process simple and stress-free. Very good service and definitely a company I would use again!”

Kaş Departures — Frequently Asked Questions
Tap a question to view details.
Where will the driver be waiting in Kaş?
At the entrance to your accommodation where a vehicle can legally stand, and otherwise at the nearest point the street allows — the waterfront road for many harbour hotels, or the top of the lane for properties in the old quarter. The exact standing point is agreed with your address at booking, so it is written down before the morning rather than discussed on the phone at the time.
How is the pickup time decided?
You give us the flight number and the departure time when you book, and we plan the pickup time around that flight and put it on the confirmation. We do not ask you to calculate it yourself. The road out of Kaş does not behave the same way at 04:00 as it does at 16:00, and the planned time reflects which of those you are travelling in.
Can you collect before sunrise?
Yes. We operate around the clock and early departures are common on this route because of the distance involved. Let reception know the evening before so the entrance or the gate is open, and keep your phone reachable in case the driver needs to confirm the last few metres.
How long does the drive to the airport take?
Between 191 and 230 minutes over roughly 203 km. The middle section through Finike and Kumluca is consistent; the variation comes from the Demre plain in the early morning and from the resort strip north of Kemer on summer afternoons.
What if my flight time changes?
Send us the new flight details as soon as you have them and we re-plan the pickup around the new departure. There is no charge for moving the time. Changes are handled by message rather than through a form, so a reply confirms the new plan.
How do I pay?
In cash to the driver on the day. No card is needed to make the booking and nothing is charged in advance. The price is fixed when you book, so the figure quoted is the figure handed over.
Can I cancel?
Yes — cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup. Send a message and we will confirm it; there is no form and no call centre queue. The full terms are shown when you book.
Do you carry child seats and large luggage?
Child seats are available on request — give the ages of the children at booking and the right seat is fitted before the vehicle sets off. For luggage, declare the full load including anything oversized, and the vehicle is sized to it. There is no separate charge for a bag that was declared.
