“We booked a private transfer with MovXtra before arriving in Turkey, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication via both email and WhatsApp was quick, friendly, and professional. We were a group of 14 people, and during our holiday we used their services for several transfers. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable, the driver was friendly and helpful, and every journey went perfectly. 🚐👌 There is honestly nothing we could fault. We will definitely use MovXtra again on our future trips to Antalya. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced private transfer service in Antalya. 🙏🇹🇷”

Why a Kalkan Departure Is Planned, Not Improvised
The gate, the track and the turning room
Kalkan's villas are stacked across hillside terraces, and each compound is reached by its own track. Some of those tracks end in a yard with room to swing a minibus round; others do not, and the sensible standing point is the top of the drive. That is decided when the compound name goes on the booking, not by a driver reversing uphill in the dark.
Steps are part of the loading
Arriving at a Kalkan villa, luggage goes downhill. Leaving one, it goes back up — often a flight or two from pool level to the road. It is worth having the cases at the top before the vehicle appears, and worth telling us if anyone in the party would rather not carry them, so the driver comes down for them.
The town road is slow on purpose
Whatever your address, the departure starts by climbing out of the bay. The road from the harbour quarter up to the highway junction is a short series of switchbacks with poor sightlines and parked cars in the turns. A driver who knows it treats it as the first few minutes of the drive rather than something to rush.
Nothing to pay before the day
The amount is settled when the booking is confirmed and it does not move afterwards. No card details are taken, no deposit is held, and the driver is paid in cash once you are at the terminal. Should the arrangement stop suiting you, dropping it 24 hours or more ahead of the collection carries no charge.
Whatever hour the handover falls on
Villa changeovers and flight times rarely agree with each other, so pickups here fall at every hour of the clock. We work through the night as a matter of course. If the key is going back to a manager rather than a reception desk, say so at booking and the timing can be arranged around that handover.
Kalkan to the Terminal: What the Drive Involves
The measured distance is roughly 214 km and the drive runs 186 to 224 minutes. Almost none of that is spent in Kalkan itself, but the first part of it is the most demanding: the climb from the bay to the main highway above the town, where the road doubles back on itself several times in a short vertical distance and the width is barely enough for two vehicles at the bends.
Once on the highway the direction is east, and the opening half hour is the memorable part of the journey — a cornice cut into the cliff face above Kaputaş, guardrail on one side, rock on the other, with the water a long way below and few places to pass anything. Tour coaches use this stretch through the middle of the day. Before dawn it is empty and you drive straight into the sunrise.
Beyond Kaş the road turns away from the water and settles into the long inland middle of the trip: the flat farmland behind Finike, the citrus country around Kumluca, and then a wooded climb that carries the highway high over the coast again before Kemer. Little of this changes with the hour. It is the section where the odometer does its work and the timing is predictable.
The last part is the only stretch that behaves like a city. Between Kemer and the airport junction the traffic thickens in summer, particularly through the afternoon, and that is what accounts for the upper figure in the 186 to 224 minute range. A departure that leaves the compound gate while it is still dark generally clears the whole route near the lower figure.
Collection Points Across the Kalkan Hillside
There is no single address that works for Kalkan, because the town is a set of terraces rather than a street plan. A vehicle can usually reach the gate of the lower compounds; higher up, the last section of track can be too narrow or too steep to turn in, and the driver will stand at the nearest wide point and walk down. Give the compound name and the villa name at booking — locally those identify a property far better than a street does — and the standing point is agreed in writing beforehand.
Guests in the old town and along the harbour are in a different situation again. Those lanes fill with restaurant tables in the evening and are awkward for anything larger than a car at any hour, so collection is normally from the road above rather than the door itself. Tell us the hotel name and we will name the corner. If you are leaving a villa on a key handover, confirm who holds the key and whether the automatic gate needs opening from inside; a closed barrier at four in the morning is the one thing that cannot be solved from the road.
Why Most Kalkan Guests Arrange the Departure in Advance
Kalkan has taxis, and for an evening in the harbour they are the obvious answer. A run to Antalya Airport is not comparable. It removes a car from the town for the better part of a day, and outside the summer season there are not many cars to remove — several drivers work elsewhere in the winter. Assuming one will be free at the hour your flight dictates is an assumption worth avoiding.
Luggage is the second practical problem. A standard taxi takes two large cases comfortably; a villa party of six travelling home rarely has two large cases. Splitting a group over two vehicles at the top of a hillside track, in the dark, is a poor start to the day and usually costs more than the single vehicle would have.
Booking beforehand settles the vehicle size, the standing point and the price at the same time, and none of the three is renegotiated on the morning. The figure agreed is what the driver takes at the terminal, in cash, at the end of the drive.
Nearby routes
Departures from this part of the coast share the same highway east: Kaş to Antalya Airport picks the road up a little further along, and traffic from both towns passes Demre and Finike on the way to the terminal. For the journey in the other direction see the Antalya Airport to Kalkan transfer, with Antalya Airport to Kaş and Antalya Airport to Finike covering the neighbouring stops.
Return transfer
The same route in the opposite direction is described on the Antalya Airport to Kalkan transfer page, and most guests book the pair together as a round trip rather than arranging each half separately. Doing it that way means the compound and gate details are captured once and reused for the departure, and both legs are quoted per vehicle. If only the outbound half was booked at the time, the return can still be added later with the same terms.

“I used Movxtra for both my airport transfers in Antalya — from the airport to my hotel and then back to the airport. I was very satisfied with the service from start to finish. The website is very easy to use, with clear and fixed prices, and there is no need to pay in advance. You simply pay the driver after arriving at your destination, which I found very convenient. Their WhatsApp communication is also excellent — they respond extremely quickly. After making the booking, I recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp, as it makes communication even faster and easier. Both drivers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good air conditioning. I would definitely recommend Movxtra, especially if you want a reliable airport transfer without having to pay upfront. The fixed price and payment upon arrival make the whole process simple and stress-free. Very good service and definitely a company I would use again!”
“Everything was great, thank you! The transfer went very smoothly, and the drivers were punctual, professional, and very kind. We really appreciated the service.”

Kalkan Departure Questions
Tap a question to view details.
Will the vehicle come all the way to the villa gate?
Wherever the track allows it, yes. On the lower terraces that is normally the gate itself. Higher up, some access tracks have no turning room and the vehicle stands at the nearest wide point, with the driver walking down for the luggage. Which applies is agreed when you give the compound name at booking, so it is known before the morning.
How do you work out what time to collect me?
From the flight. Give us the flight number and its departure time when you book, and the pickup time is planned around it and confirmed back to you in writing. You are not asked to work the timing out on your own, and it is not a fixed rule applied to every booking — a July afternoon and a February dawn are different drives on this road.
Do you cover very early departures?
Yes, at any hour. Night pickups are routine on this route because of the distance. If the gate is on a timer or the key is going back to a villa manager, mention it at booking and that gets built into the arrangement rather than discovered on the doorstep.
How long is the drive?
186 to 224 minutes for roughly 214 km. The climb out of Kalkan and the cliff section as far as Kaş account for the slowest kilometres; the inland middle is steady, and the Kemer stretch near the end is where summer afternoons add time.
What if the flight is moved or cancelled?
Message us with the new details and the pickup is re-planned around the new departure time at no extra charge. If the trip is off altogether, cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the collection time.
How is payment handled?
The driver is paid in cash on the day. Booking takes no card details and nothing is charged in advance. The amount is fixed at the time of booking, so the figure you were quoted is the figure that changes hands.
Can you take a large group with a lot of luggage?
Yes. Declare the passenger count and the number of cases when you book and a vehicle is allocated to both. Buggies, golf bags and oversized items are fine as long as they are declared — the point of declaring them is that the right vehicle turns up, not that anything extra is charged.
Are child seats available for the drive back?
Yes, on request. Give the ages of the children at booking and the appropriate seat is fitted before the vehicle leaves for you. The same applies to the inbound leg if you are booking both directions.
