Antalya Airport to Köprülü Canyon

Köprülü Canyon is a 14-kilometre gorge carved by the Köprüçay river northeast of Antalya, best known as the region's white-water rafting centre. Beyond the rapids, a Roman-era humpback bridge still spans the river and the mountain ruins of ancient Selge lie above, all set within a national park of cypress forest and turquoise water.

The transfer from Antalya Airport takes around an hour, running east past Serik before climbing into the canyon on winding mountain roads. Rafting operators sit deep in the valley with no public transport, so a private transfer is the practical choice; we can drop you at your rafting meeting point and arrange the return once you are back on dry land.

The valley road is lined with rafting bases and riverside restaurants built out over the water on timber platforms. Rafting trips supply helmets and life jackets and run mainly from spring to autumn when river levels are safe; bring a change of clothes and footwear that can get wet. Allow most of a day to combine rafting, lunch and the Roman bridge.
