Antalya Airport to Kaleiçi Bazaar

The bazaar streets of Kaleiçi are the shopping heart of Antalya's old town — a warren of narrow, restored Ottoman lanes lined with shops selling carpets and kilims, leather and textiles, spices and Turkish delight, jewellery, ceramics and souvenirs. Half the pleasure is the wandering itself: stepping in for an apple tea, comparing pieces between shops and haggling gently over a price in the shade of the old stone houses.

Kaleiçi sits about 25 minutes from Antalya Airport, a short hop of roughly 14 km into the city centre. The old-town core is pedestrian-only, so a private transfer drops you at the nearest gate — Hadrian's Gate or the Clock Tower (Saat Kulesi) are the handiest for the shopping streets — and we confirm the meeting point before arrival so you step straight into the bazaar without hunting for parking.

Once inside, walking is the only way around — the lanes are cobbled and too narrow for cars — so wear comfortable shoes and expect some gentle slopes down towards the harbour. Shops generally open from late morning until late evening, busiest in the cool of the afternoon and after dark; many take card as well as cash, though a little cash helps at smaller stalls and for bargaining. Boutique hotels in the quarter will usually carry luggage out to your driver at the nearest gate.
