Tosmur to Antalya Airport Transfer

A Tosmur departure begins on the far side of a river. Almost everything here sits east of the Dim, so the first movement of the morning is back over the bridge and onto the coastal highway pointing west, through the edge of Alanya. From there to Antalya Airport is roughly 133 km and takes about 125 to 150 minutes, nearly all of it on the D400.

The Alanya section decides how the day goes. Before about seven in the morning the seafront and the bypass are empty and the car is clear of the town in a few minutes. Later, the coast road carries school runs, delivery vans and market traffic, and those same few kilometres stretch out. Afternoon departures in July and August meet the same congestion in the opposite order, building outwards from the town rather than into it.

Once the town is behind you the road opens. The long middle stretch through Manavgat and past the Side junction is the steadiest part of the drive and the part that varies least between a February morning and an August one. It is also where a driver can make back a slow start, without hurrying anything.

The last part works in your favour. Antalya Airport sits on the eastern approach to the city, so a car coming up from Alanya reaches the terminal roads before it meets Antalya's own traffic at all. Your terminal comes from the flight number you send us, and the drop-off is on the departures level rather than the arrivals road below it.

Tosmur splits into two different pickups. Hotels on the beach side have a forecourt, so the vehicle stands at the main entrance and the bags come out to it. The riverside pensions and apartment buildings are another matter: several of those lanes are one car wide with vehicles parked down both sides, and there is nowhere to turn a minibus. For those addresses the driver stops at the mouth of the lane on the river road, walks up and carries the cases down. Give us the building name and the nearest corner when you book, and that is settled long before the morning.

Early departures need one arrangement made the evening before. The smaller pensions here rarely keep anyone on the desk overnight, and a locked street door at three in the morning is the most common reason a collection runs late. Ask reception to leave it open or to write your departure in the night book, and keep a phone beside the bed so the driver can ring instead of knock. Send the flight number with the booking and we plan the pickup time around it, so working out the hour is not your job.

Finding a taxi to leave is not the same problem as finding one to arrive. A terminal rank is always stocked; Tosmur out of season thins out once the evening trade ends, and a pre-dawn departure means somebody has to be woken and asked to drive. A hotel will make that call for you, but it happens at the hour you already needed the car, not before it.

The fare is the second difference. A metered run of 133 km ends with the driver coming back empty, and that empty return is priced into whatever gets agreed at the door, usually with your luggage already on the pavement and the clock against you. A figure fixed at booking removes the conversation entirely.

This does not make taxis useless. For a hop into Alanya or down to the beach they are quicker to arrange than anything booked in advance. It is the long, early, one-way trip with bags that rewards having a car already assigned to your name and your date.
