“We booked a private transfer with MovXtra before arriving in Turkey, and the whole experience was excellent from start to finish. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Communication via both email and WhatsApp was quick, friendly, and professional. We were a group of 14 people, and during our holiday we used their services for several transfers. The vehicle was always clean and comfortable, the driver was friendly and helpful, and every journey went perfectly. 🚐👌 There is honestly nothing we could fault. We will definitely use MovXtra again on our future trips to Antalya. Highly recommended if you are looking for a reliable, professional, and reasonably priced private transfer service in Antalya. 🙏🇹🇷”

What Changes on a City Centre Departure
Sixteen kilometres, and the clock decides the rest
This is the shortest departure we run, and it is also the one where the time of day matters most in proportion. The same road that takes 28 minutes at seven in the morning can take 38 in the middle of a summer afternoon. Nothing about the distance changes; the junctions along the way simply fill up.
Kerb space is the practical problem downtown
Plenty of central hotels have no forecourt at all, and the streets around them are one-way, tram-tracked or lined with parking that nobody moves. The vehicle needs a legal place to stand for the two or three minutes it takes to load. That place is identified from your address when you book, rather than circled for on the day.
No meter running in a junction queue
On a short metered ride, congestion is exactly what you end up paying for. Here the amount is agreed at booking and does not react to traffic. It is settled in cash with the driver at the terminal, with no card taken beforehand and no deposit held.
Terminal 1 or Terminal 2, settled beforehand
Antalya Airport has two terminals and they are a short drive apart. Domestic flights use Terminal 1, international and charter services Terminal 2. Give us the flight number at booking and the set-down point is fixed with the rest of the arrangement, so nobody is deciding it at the airport turn-off.
The hours when the city is empty
We work around the clock, and central departures cluster at both ends of the day. The 04:00 to 06:00 window is the fastest driving of the whole year here, but it is also when a hotel desk may be unstaffed and a lift out of order, so those pickups are confirmed the evening before.
From the Centre to the Terminal: 16 km, 28 to 38 Minutes
The terminal sits roughly 16 km east of the centre, and the drive occupies 28 to 38 minutes. It is a straightforward run in shape: the vehicle works its way out of whichever central district you are staying in, joins the main airport road, and stays on it. There are no mountain sections, no single-lane stretches and no surprises in the geography — the variable is entirely the traffic.
The slow part is the beginning rather than the end. Getting off Işıklar or the boulevards around Muratpaşa and onto the airport road means a handful of signalled junctions and, in places, a tram line running down the middle of the carriageway that limits where a vehicle can turn or stop. Once the road opens out towards Aksu the pace settles and the remaining kilometres pass at a steady rate.
Direction helps you in the morning. The heavy commuter flow at that hour runs inbound towards the centre while you are heading the other way, so an 07:00 departure moves better than the same trip in reverse would. The genuinely slow window is the late afternoon: from about 16:00 to 19:00 the junctions on the airport road stiffen in both directions, and on summer weekends the beach traffic on the Lara side adds to it.
Because the drive is short, the difference between the best and worst case is only ten minutes or so — but on a short trip that is a third of the journey, which is why the pickup time is planned against your actual flight rather than assumed. Tell us the flight number and departure time and the collection time is set with the booking.
Where the Vehicle Stands in the City Centre
Larger hotels along the beach roads and the clifftop have their own entrance where a vehicle can pull in and wait, and collection there is simply a matter of being in the lobby at the agreed time. The centre proper is less accommodating. Around Işıklar Caddesi and the older grid behind it, one-way systems and permanent kerbside parking mean the nearest legal standing place may be a few doors from the entrance or on the opposite corner, and traffic wardens do not tolerate a vehicle waiting long. Naming the hotel at booking is what lets that point be chosen in advance.
Apartment and short-let guests should expect to be met on the street rather than at a doorbell, so leave a mobile number that will be switched on at the time. For a departure before the desk is staffed, arrange the night before: ask reception to note the pickup, take the cases down while the lift is free, and be at the entrance when the vehicle is due. In the centre a driver who has to leave the vehicle and go looking for a guest usually has to move it first.
Taxi or Booked Vehicle for the Run to the Airport
Honesty first: central Antalya is well served by taxis, and in daylight, from a hotel with a doorman, flagging one down is easy. If you are one or two people with hand luggage, that is a perfectly reasonable way to reach the terminal. The argument for booking is not that taxis are unavailable here — it is about the specific hours and loads where they stop being convenient.
The first of those is early morning. At half past four the doorman is not on shift and the rank outside is empty, and a call placed then competes with every other hotel doing the same thing. The second is luggage. A standard car carries two large cases; a family of four going home carries four, and the answer becomes two vehicles, two fares and a conversation about which children ride with whom.
The third is the meter itself. On a 16 km run through a city, a queue at a junction is charged to the passenger, and the afternoon window is precisely when the run is slowest. A booked vehicle is quoted once, per vehicle, and the amount does not move if the traffic does. It is paid in cash at the terminal, and cancelling costs nothing provided you tell us 24 hours or more before the pickup.
Nearby routes
The centre is the hub of a tight cluster of departure routes: Kaleiçi to Antalya Airport covers the walled Old Town, where the vehicle stops at a perimeter gate rather than the door. The inbound journey is on the Antalya Airport to Antalya City Center transfer page, and the neighbouring districts have their own routes — Antalya Airport to Konyaaltı, Antalya Airport to Lara and Antalya Airport to Kaleiçi.
Return transfer
Coming the other way is covered on the Antalya Airport to Antalya City Center transfer page. Many guests book both halves as a round trip at the same time, which fixes the price for each leg and saves repeating the hotel details for the departure. Booking only the arrival is fine too — the departure can be added later, on the same per-vehicle basis and under the same 24-hour cancellation terms.

Travellers who booked this service
“I used Movxtra for both my airport transfers in Antalya — from the airport to my hotel and then back to the airport. I was very satisfied with the service from start to finish. The website is very easy to use, with clear and fixed prices, and there is no need to pay in advance. You simply pay the driver after arriving at your destination, which I found very convenient. Their WhatsApp communication is also excellent — they respond extremely quickly. After making the booking, I recommend contacting them directly on WhatsApp, as it makes communication even faster and easier. Both drivers were punctual, professional, and friendly. The vehicles were clean, comfortable, spacious, and had good air conditioning. I would definitely recommend Movxtra, especially if you want a reliable airport transfer without having to pay upfront. The fixed price and payment upon arrival make the whole process simple and stress-free. Very good service and definitely a company I would use again!”
“Everything was great, thank you! The transfer went very smoothly, and the drivers were punctual, professional, and very kind. We really appreciated the service.”

City Centre Departures — Common Questions
Tap a question to view details.
Where will the vehicle be waiting?
At your hotel entrance if there is somewhere legal to stand, and otherwise at the nearest point the street allows — often the corner of the block or the opposite side of a one-way street. The point is chosen from your address at booking and written on the confirmation, and the driver calls when he is there.
What time will I be collected?
We plan the collection around your flight. Give us the flight number and its departure time when you book and the pickup time comes back on the confirmation. We do not apply one rule to every booking on this route, because the same 16 km behaves quite differently at 06:00 and at 17:00.
How long does the drive take?
28 to 38 minutes for about 16 km. Early mornings sit at the lower end because the commuter flow is heading into the centre rather than out of it. Late afternoons in summer, roughly 16:00 to 19:00, are the slowest.
Which terminal will I be dropped at?
The one your airline uses — Terminal 1 for domestic flights, Terminal 2 for international and charter services. That is taken from the flight number you give at booking, so the driver knows it before setting off rather than asking on the airport road.
Do you collect very early or very late?
Yes, at any hour. Early departures are common from the centre and the roads are at their clearest then. Arrange it the evening before with reception so the entrance is open and someone knows the vehicle is expected.
How do I pay?
Cash to the driver at the terminal. No card is needed to book and nothing is charged in advance. The price is fixed when the booking is made, so traffic on the day does not change it.
Can I cancel or change the time?
Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the pickup. If the flight time moves, send us the new details and the collection is re-planned around it at no extra cost.
Do you have child seats, and can you take extra luggage?
Child seats are available on request — give the children's ages at booking. For luggage, say how many cases are travelling and the vehicle is sized accordingly; a group that would not fit in a standard taxi is exactly the case this service is built for.
