Kekova Sunken City is a stretch of Lycian coastline where an ancient settlement slipped beneath the sea after earthquakes, leaving staircases, walls and house foundations visible just under clear turquoise water. Boats glide over the ruins between Kekova Island and the village of Kaleköy, crowned by a medieval hilltop castle with Lycian sarcophagi standing in the shallows below.
Reaching Kekova takes 180 km and 3 hours 6 minutes from Antalya Airport, following the coast road past Demre towards Üçağız. There is no practical public transport to the boat jetties, so this is a full-day private-transfer trip: we drop you at the Üçağız harbour for your boat tour and collect you from the same quay afterwards.
