Kekova is a Lycian coastline west of Antalya where an ancient town slipped beneath the sea after earthquakes, leaving staircases, walls and foundations visible just under clear turquoise water. Boats glide over the ruins between the island and the village of Kaleköy, which is crowned by a Crusader castle and Lycian sarcophagi standing in the shallows.
Reaching Kekova takes about 2 hours 45 minutes from Antalya Airport, out along the coast past Demre towards Üçağız. This is a full-day trip with no practical public transport to the boat jetties, so a private transfer is the natural choice; we deliver you to the harbour for your boat tour and collect you afterwards.
The sunken ruins are a protected zone — viewing is by boat (glass-bottom tours, gület day-trips or sea kayak) and swimming directly over the ruins is not allowed. Tours leave from Üçağız or Kaş; bring sun protection, water and a hat, as there is little shade on deck. A typical boat outing runs three to four hours plus the drive each way.
