Antalya Airport to Kaputaş Beach

Kaputaş is a small, dazzling cove beach set where a gorge meets the sea on the road between Kaş and Kalkan. Its turquoise water and pale sand, hemmed in by steep cliffs, make it one of the most photographed beaches on the Turkish coast — compact but spectacular, and reached by a long flight of steps down from the clifftop road above.

Kaputaş is a far-western run, around 2 hours 30 minutes from Antalya Airport along the scenic coastal D400 beyond Kaş. It is a committed full-day outing, often combined with Kaş or Kalkan, and there is only a roadside stop rather than a town nearby — so a private transfer that waits is far easier than relying on the limited dolmuş service.

Access is by roughly 180–190 steps down from a small clifftop car park and bus stop; there is no road to the sand, so it is not suitable for anyone who cannot manage the stairs. A seasonal kiosk rents sunbeds and sells drinks in summer, but facilities are minimal — bring water and beach shoes for the pebbly sand. The cove is small and fills early; arrive in the morning.
