MarkAntalya is a five-floor shopping mall in the Muratpasa district, right in central Antalya and within walking distance of the old town, Hadrian's Gate, and the Roman harbour. The mall offers a broad brand mix across fashion, electronics, and cosmetics, alongside dining and cinema options. It also has a large multi-level car park, which is often more practical than street parking in this part of the city. The AntRay tram stops nearby, making the mall accessible for city-based visitors.
For resort guests, the city-centre location is both the attraction and the complication. Being in the heart of Antalya means you are close to the old town for a combined shopping-and-sightseeing day, and the cinema and restaurants extend the visit well into the evening. But it also means the return journey to Belek, Side or Alanya is a genuine logistical question once the mall closes at 22:00 in summer.
Practical Information for Your Visit
- Best Time to Visit
- Weekday mornings are quietest. Summer evenings (from around 18:00) attract large local crowds for the restaurants and cinema. If you want to shop comfortably, arrive at opening and plan to finish by mid-afternoon. The air conditioning makes it a good choice on very hot days.
- Time Needed
- Plan around 3 hours as the standard transfer waiting window. For shopping plus lunch, many visitors stay around this duration; adding cinema or a walk into Kaleici can extend the visit further. Standard wait included; extra waiting can be arranged on request.
- What to Bring
- Bank card (all stores accept cards). Comfortable shoes — five floors cover significant distance. If combining with Kaleici, bring a hat and sunscreen for the open-air lanes. Note that Turkish electronics pricing can be attractive relative to some European markets, so research prices before you travel if tech purchases are on your agenda.
- Opening Hours
- Standard hours: 10:00–22:00 daily. Extended to 10:00–23:00 during summer season. Individual store hours may vary slightly. The mall operates year-round.
Private Transfer vs Taxi or Dolmuş to MarkAntalya
A metered taxi from Belek or Lara to MarkAntalya is possible, and the journey itself is straightforward on the D400. The issue is return. Taxis in Antalya's city centre at 22:00 in summer are in demand from local passengers, and many drivers will not take a 40–130 km resort run at the end of their shift for a metered fare. Negotiating a price at the door when you are tired and carrying bags is not the end to a shopping day most people plan for.
Dolmus is usually not a practical option for most resort-area guests. City bus and dolmus routes are designed for local urban travel and generally do not provide a simple direct route from coastal hotel strips to Muratpasa. In practice, resort visitors often rely on taxi or private transfer instead.
The guests most affected by the transport gap are those furthest from the city — Side, Kemer, and Alanya visitors for whom a shopping day in Antalya city centre represents a real journey. For them, the round-trip transfer with waiting time is the product that makes the trip feasible at all.
